Difference between Blog and Article

Hello everyone.

I would like to hear your thoughts about this thread subject.

By my own opinion, a blog post should not be very large and might include nonformal language expressions like sleng and some shortcuts, while article should be better formatted, have more professional look and should be written in a more formal language.

I see many times, people mix these two things. There are many (including me) which write articles on a blog page, so, should we pay attention on this or just write it no matter how long it is?

Sometimes I intend to write a blog post, so while explaining the details, the end result will become 'large blog post' (article) :).

What do you think?

IMO, A blog post is something that you written without any required format. Yes mostly a blog post is more shorter in words than an article has but there are also time that a blog post will be written in longer words especially when you are expressing ideas or own opinions. On the other hand an article is written in more formal way ( as what you said);an article must follow the required format (Intro, Body, Conclusion, etcetera, etcetera and etcetera) and sometimes requires a graphical representation to support the things you describe on it.
