Hi

Just a quick few questions thanks.

I have used joomla with php and mysql etc and dreamweaver etc etc but, would like to learn something completly new.

I came across a nice website which was constructed using asp.

I was just wondering what tools i would need to make sites from.  Do i need visual studi which i have and also dreamweaver etc.

I was also wondering what the best hosts are for asp and of course cheapest as i already have hosting but no ASP support.  Sorry about the questions but just like to be sure I am heading in the correct direction.

Joomla and the likes were open source are there any asp open source sites.

Thanks again.

Alan,

You can do the development using Visual Studio Express editions and SQL Server Express (all are free downloads).

Also there are many ASP.NET open source sites, check out codeplex.com and sourforget.bet (excample is bugtrcker.net).

Thanks very much will have a look at that and see what happens.

Can you recommend any good hosting?

Can you run your projects on the PC without hosting to start with?

Thanks for your patience.
